INFO day in Okorág

Okorág, a really nice town in the end of the world!

The last Thursday we were in Okorág, Ormánság. There we had an INFO day in which we explained the Green Way Project. The people of Okorág was really nice and before start the INFO day, they informed and showed us the treasures of Okorág, and there are so many!

We started visiting the Black River, where some of us were canoing some weeks ago. Close to the river, in the first house in Okorág we met a woman who weavs! And in the same moment in which we arrived she was there, making some carpets, working and working!

   

After watched the town with some people in the street enjoying the sun and chating, we went to see the lake that a company is making there…It sounds strange, I know…But it was incredible! The first lake we saw here! They are planning to have a place to rest, fish and enjoy!

      

 

Close to Okorág is a smaller town called Mónosokor and there is living only one man! When we arrived there we were so lucky, this man was there with another one, who is the owner of the first sheeps I saw in Ormánság! The landscape was really nice and green, and they told us that in summer time when there is more water in the river they swim and enjoy there in the only street of Monokor.

The last stop before the meeting with the rest of the people was in the Jula’s house. A sweet man who makes baskets with him hands. We ordered two for two big bottles and two more to picknick!

When we arrived to the library we found a surprise! The people fom there prepared some sandwiches and sweets and after the walk it was perfect!

In the meeting we were around 15 people and the people told us that they really like the idea and they helped us to make a list with the important points of Okorág and also the specialities!
